About Us
FencingMonitor converts short eligible épée videos into structured biomechanical reports that present measurements, derived metrics, and contextual movement interpretation.
What FencingMonitor is
FencingMonitor is a software-based digital analysis service dedicated to épée fencing.
It transforms short eligible videos into structured reports about biomechanics, quality relationships, interpreted issues, offensive and defensive movement context, and longitudinal change.
The service combines objective measurements and derived metrics with contextual interpretation. Interpretations may be uncertain and remain limited to the analyzed video material.
FencingMonitor is an adult-only analytical software service. It does not provide personalised coaching or training prescriptions, medical or legal advice, refereeing decisions, rankings, predictions, or guarantees of performance or improvement.
What we do
Movement analysis
We analyze fencing movement from short eligible videos using pose estimation, biomechanical modeling, and structured analytical logic.
Structured reporting
We convert detected movement information into reports that are easier to read than raw numbers alone.
Contextual interpretation
We help users understand movement quality, issues, selected findings, and context-specific behavior through a layered reporting system.
Analysis support
We support athletes, coaches, clubs, and families who want a clearer analytical review across different fencing contexts.
How the service works
Upload
The adult account holder uploads one or more eligible videos. Each video must show both fencers, be no longer than 15 seconds, be at least 720p and 30 fps, and be supplied only as MP4 or MOV.
Processing
The system processes the video using pose estimation, biomechanical modeling, and analytical computation.
Reports
The user receives structured reports and contextual interpretation. Longitudinal views require at least 5 eligible comparable videos. For consistency, report explanations are generated in English.
Important note
Analysis quality depends on recording conditions and video eligibility. Poor framing, blur, occlusion, camera instability, or insufficient weapon or body visibility may reduce reliability, produce partial output, or make a video ineligible. Review the Video Recording Guide before uploading.
Who it is for
Athletes
Adult athletes who want structured analytical information about movement patterns and change across comparable videos.
Coaches and clubs
Coaches and clubs who need structured movement review across one or more athletes.
Families
Adult family members who want a clearer view of the movement information shown in an athlete’s reports.
Fencing environments
Fencing environments that want a more structured bridge between video, observation, and explanation.
How FencingMonitor structures reports
FencingMonitor uses five report families, each with a distinct analytical role.
Biomech Profile
The general biomechanical movement base of the athlete.
Quality Biomech Profile
A selected root–affecting–terminal quality relationship and its degradation chain. Static only.
Issue Dynamics
General interpreted issues and findings, including their evolution over time.
Offense Dynamics
Issues and findings inside attacking context.
Defense Dynamics
Issues and findings inside defensive context.
